Invitation to Discipleship

Connect with Christ

While you’re on our website, we would like to give you an opportunity to become a member of God’s family by connecting with Christ. Let us reinforce that God loves you and has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life. God wants you to welcome you into a loving relationship that is real, up close, intimate, and personal. God wants you to know the essence of who the Lord is and to be confident that God has promised never to leave us or forsake us. To help you make this connection with Christ, let us walk you through what is often referred to as the Roman Road of Salvation:

Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
We can never be good enough on our own to deserve salvation because all of us have sinned; therefore we are guilty as charged.

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
In order to be redeemed from our sins, we need a Savior. No other type of redemption would be enough. We can’t have enough money, enough influence or enough of anything. We need a Savior and that Savior is Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:8 – “But God commended his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus Christ paid the sin debt for us and became our Savior when he died on the cross at Calvary. When Jesus died on the cross, he settled the sin debt for you, for me, and for the entire world.

Romans 10:9-10 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. In order to activate the benefits of what Jesus did for us at Calvary, we must ask Jesus to come into our hearts and into our lives. This is what it means to be saved. When we believe in Jesus in our hearts, and confess with our mouths that Jesus is the Christ, then we are saved.

My friend, if you believe what you just read and want Jesus to come into your life today, I want to pray this simple prayer of salvation with you. Use my words, but use your faith:

Lord, I have sinned and come short of your glory. I know I need a Savior. Jesus, I believe that you are God’s Son. I believe that you were born of the Virgin Mary, that you lived on this earth, that you were crucified, that you died on Calvary and that you were buried. I believe that when you died you paid the penalty for my sin and for the sin of the whole world. Jesus, I believe that you didn’t stay dead, but that you got up from that grave with all power in your hands. I believe that you went back to heaven and that right now you are seated at the right hand of God Almighty. And I believe you are coming back again to get all of those who believe in you. Lord, I want to ask you to come into my heart right now. I turn away from my sins. I want you to be my Savior and Lord. And I believe that by praying this prayer and asking you to come into my life, that you are doing so and that I am saved right now. Lord, thank you for saving me!

My friend, if you have prayed this prayer with sincerity, let me be the first to welcome you to the Body of Christ! Heaven is happy and rejoicing right now because you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior! Don’t stop right here. Get into a bible teaching, bible believing, and praying church so that you can grow and mature and become more like Christ and so that you can be all that Christ wants you to be. Let us hear from you so we can lift you up in prayer that God will strengthen you and supply all of your needs. Welcome to Christ’s family, brother/sister!
